This large public hospital located in the western suburbs of Melbourne is seeking a registered neonatal nurse and / or midwife with exceptional experience to join their new Level 2 Special Care Nursery.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of efficient and effective clinical care within the Special Care Nursery, ensuring maintenance of clinical standards and quality care, in accordance with agreed standards and policies.
The successful applicant must demonstrate the following: - Registration with the AHPRA - Demonstrated ability to identify needs and plan research based care for the infant and family - Demonstrated experience of effective emergency neonatal care - Well developed communications skills - Quality and research / audit experience - Excellent knowledge and practice regarding breastfeeding and lactation support- Commitment to own continuing professional development - Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team - Extensive experience in high dependency Neonatal nursing and/or post graduate qualifications in Neonatal nursing
