Great opportunity to be a key leader in the establishment of this new Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Unit due to open September 2014 in a lovely coastal town southern NSW. You will be responsible for supporting the initial setup of the unit, including recruitment to all nursing positions, as well as work with the region health management to ensure the successful establishment of the services. Thereafter your attention will move to co-ordination of patient care, staff leadership, financial and other management to ensure high quality patient centered care. Total staff in the team is anticipated to be around 20 FTE
Requirements for NUM Rehabilitation New Unit in Public Hospital Regional Coastal NSW include:
1. Current registration as RN with AHPRA
2. Demonstrated capacity to coordinate front line clinical services ideally in a rehab setting
3. Effective negotiation, conflict resolution and supervision skills

4. Proven ability to contribute to the implementation of the operational/business plans, manage organisational change processes and allocate and monitor multidisciplinary team resources.
You will be joining a service in a small, but increasingly popular, town right on the coast in southern NSW. Clinical leadership role in this dynamic rehabilitation unit. Would suit a dynamic Nurse Unit manager or a nurse currently acting as an ANUM or who has some leadership experience. This supportive management team will help you establish protocols and systems to enable you to develop your team to its full potential. ideally you should have a post grad qualification in rehabilitation / management or be working towards same. This client strongly favours a consultative management style and you will need to be a expert in relationship building with key stakeholders.
